Luxury villa rental in Tuscany. Splendid tower situated on the main square (Piazza del Duomo) of San Gimignano. This tower, which is the only one habitable among the 14 of the town, was built in the 13th century by the Salvucci family and is the highest private tower of San Gimignano (48 m).
This building has been recently restored and turned into a charming and luxury villa rental in Tuscany where you can experience a unique stay. The interior decoration is a tasteful blend of ancient charm and contemporary furnishing.
The tower comprises 10 floors and a panoramic terrace (set on the top floor) connected through 160 steps.
Distances: Certaldo and Poggibonsi approx. 10 km, Siena approx. 35 km, Florence approx. 45 km.
Cars are not allowed in the historical centre of San Gimignano, but it is possible to ask for a special permission in order to reach the house and carry luggage.
At guests’ disposal: Washing machine situated in a outdoor room.
The house in not suitable for children. It is possible to rent the tower together with apartment in order to obtain a larger and luxury property accommodating 4-8 people.

Torre di San Gimignano is a very special place to stay. Views to die for, breathtaking (both physically and visually - 180 stairs work off all the fantastic food and wine!) An unforgettable experience. While you're there eat lots of ice-cream (Gelateria di Piazza - best in world!); Drink the local wine!; Try all the restaurants (in particular Ristorante Dorando' - not cheap but 10/10); Buy a leather handbag or two (Le Torri); Music festival week while we were there and evening entertainment with violinists and puppetry was great. The torre was Inspiring - unique - unforgettable - very special - breathtaking (physically and visually!) Highly recommend and we want to go back soon!
