DESCRIZIONE
Bella colonica in pietra situata in posizione molto panoramica con splendida vista sulla Val di Chiana e sull’antica chiesa di S. Maria delle Grazie al Calcinaio. La struttura, recentemente trasformata in una bella villa indipendente, si trova a brevissima distanza da Cortona, splendida cittadina medievale di origine etrusca.
Grazie ad un attento restauro sono state mantenute intatte molte delle caratteristiche architettoniche originarie come i bellissimi pavimenti antichi in cotto che insieme ad un arredamento in stile rustico offrono una ambiente accogliente e molto piacevole.
L’accesso alla proprietà è tramite una strada non asfaltata ma in buone condizioni.
Distanze: Cortona con tutti i generi di negozi a 1 km, Camucia a 1 km, Arezzo a circa 30 km.
Perugia e Siena si trovano a circa 50 km. La strada per Cortona passa a circa 50 m dalla struttura. Parcheggio all’interno della proprietà.
A disposizione degli ospiti: Bel giardino a terrazze posto in posizione estremamente panoramica con piccola piscina in pietra (3,5 x 4 m - aperta dal 01/05 al 30/09) dotata di getti idromassaggio e cascata d'acqua corrente, barbecue.
Servizi extra: Aiuto domestico disponibile su richiesta a € 15,- / l’ora, da pagare sul posto.
Lettino per bebé disponibile a € 45,- / a settimana da pagare sul posto. Possibilità di affittare una poltrona letto al costo di € 80,- a settimana. Disponibili su richiesta un ferro da stiro e una lavatrice posti in un locale apposito.

| Staying at Il Calcinaio was a definite highlight of our trip to Italy. Our family of five, with three young children, was very comfortable here and the location was perfect for exploring Tuscany. The house has been remodeled to a very high standard and the yard, view, olive trees, church, and town of Cortona made for a perfect setting. Many thanks--

| Calcinaio has been beautifully and artfully restored and we had a very
comfortable stay. Home-made jam, a bottle of wine and a magnificent bowl
of tomatoes awaited us on arrival. There is a little traffic noise and the
driveways take a bit of manouvering but the quality of the property
overrides all of this. Turn the fountain on and relax out by the pool with
a good drink! |

| In general, this is a fabulous central location for the region and a lovely villa. The house, pool and garden were delightful, well stocked and comfortable. The air conditioning units in the bedrooms are a huge advantage in the summer months. |

| Beautiful area with many good restarants and some excellent ones as well as wonderful local wines and just far enough off the “main” tourist track to avoid the log jam of tourist coaches at some of the other hillside towns. To this point in time Cortona has managed to retain a certain local feel, despite the fact that it remains a popular, if not too crowded tourist destination. |
