Splendido castello risalente all’anno 1100 e ristrutturato nel 1600 dalla nobile famiglia degli Acciaioli con magnifica torre costruita sul modello architettonico di quella di Palazzo Vecchio a Firenze. Il Castello si trova in una vasta proprietà coltivata a vigneti e oliveti.
Distanze: Montagnana V.P. con negozi di generi alimentari 1 km, Montespertoli con negozi di tutti i generi ca. 5 km, Firenze 20 km, Pisa ca. 70 km.
A disposizione degli ospiti: ampio parco terrazzato con mobili da giardino e ping-pong, bellissimi giardini all’italiana originari del diciottesimo secolo con alberi di limoni e graziosa piscina (12 x 6 m – aperta dal 01/04 al 31/10). Telefono disponibile nella corte del castello (carte telefoniche); la reception è aperta dalle ore 8.30 alle 12.30 e dalle 14.30 alle 18.30. Anche le dépendance del castello sono state ristrutturate e trasformate in graziosi appartamenti. Il castello è gestito direttamente dalla famiglia Posarelli. La struttura dispone di un buon ristorante che propone piatti tipici della cucina tradizionale toscana (aperto tutte le sere tranne il mercoledì da aprile a ottobre).
Servizi extra: aiuto domestico disponibile con supplemento di € 12,- / l’ora (pagamento sul posto). Su richiesta possibilità di noleggiare un lettino bebé a € 52,- a settimana e un letto supplementare a € 77,- / a settimana da pagare sul posto. The apartment is beautiful and we loved our time there. We found the apartment quite dark inside and a little cold in September with its stone floors. I would suggest more lighting and more floor rugs for this time of year.
The apartment was perfectly clean and a joy to stay in. Lovely being so close to Florence and yet have such lovely views. Giuseppe and Simona were the only people we meet really and they were both lovely, especially Simona who wanted to be helpful all the time and her collegue who ran the bar on Sundays.
Propriété irréprochable par contre il est nécessaire d’apporter une attention particulière à l’équipement en vaisselle qui est un peu succinct, il faudrait vérifier le nombre d’éléments avant le début du séjour, (tasses, verres, couverts, et ustensiles de cuisines souvent insuffisants) .
I just wanted to take time to again express our heartfelt thanks to you and your team for the wonderful job you did for Rory & Jim's wedding! Your attention to every detail, to be sure we were satisfied with everything, seemed like it was more than a job for you! It must be very nice and very rewarding to have a job where you can make people so happy!!!
Everyone is saying how perfect the day was, and how absolutely unique the whole experience was: from the stay at the castle and the dinners at the castle (or, I should say "feasts!").
And, everything about the wedding day - please express to all involved our thanks and how pleased we were with: the flowers (beautiful - both the church decorations and the bouquets), the photographer (the wedding party said how much fun it was to have that photographer! - we can't wait to see the DVD) all the musicians - at the church (heavenly), the soprano was breath-taking (where we at "LaScala"?), the "guitar-player" / musician for the cocktail hour and the dinner was a great choice and very entertaining (his music was the perfect tone during dinner, very soothing); the wedding dinner was delicious and the servers were very attentive! The candles and tables looked beautiful, as well as the window decorations. And, just when we thought it couldn't get any better, the walk to the Lemonia was romantic and when we turned the corner and saw the room, it was "WOW"!!! (awesome, as we say here)!
Everyone said it looked like a nightclub - it was totally unexpected and completely thrilling! The band was fabulous (we all danced until our feet hurt!) and the fruit display was a sight to behold and a perfect snack to keep up our energy for all the dancing! - I can never fully express our gratitude to you, for everything you did to make this one of the most memorable experiences of our lives. Thank-you for helping to make our "children" happy!

We had a wonderful time at Castello Montegufoni. The building is absolutely superb, the garden and the pool area is fantastic and the view is beautiful. One night we had dinner at the castle's restaurant, which was also very nice and a good price as well. In the end of our stay I even bought a book about the castel's history. It is fascinating. We were two middle-age couples that shared a two bedroom-two bath apartment. and we were delighted with the accomodation and hospitality. The reception people spoke english and were very helpful. It is a great location close to Florence, Siena, and Chianti area. Plenty to see around this location. We had a car and loved the countryside. We would definitely go back when we have the opportunity. Price is reasonable and fair.
We were staying at the Castle as part of a party for a wedding in the area so didn't pick to stay there as such. Our group was mixed in terms of ages including children and everyone fell in love with the place! We will definitely be going back.
The whole area is beautiful a wonderful place to relax and enjoy the scenery. A great place to go to for artists. Also plenty to do and see. Italian people so friendly and helpful. I would recommend Castello Di Montefugoni wholeheartedly and have warm memories of how well we were looked after condsidering that there were 83 people in our wedding party.
