About Loro Ciuffenna
Loro Ciuffenna is a small town, dating back to 939 a.C., in the province of Arezzo, in Tuscany, close to Siena and Florence.
Loro Ciuffenna takes his name from the river Ciuffenna, witch actually separate the town in two different parts.
It is a typical medieval village and it definitely worth a visit for its beautiful Romanesque single arched bridge.
Climbing to the top of the town, in its highest part, you will get to the medieval Church of Santa Maria Assunta, with interesting medieval and Renaissance art pieces to see.
On the second Sunday of December, every year, you can attend to the town festival in honor of Holy Mary.
Loro Ciuffenna is also a good base for visiting some other nice towns in the surroundings, such as Castelfranco di Sopra, Laterina and the Setteponti area. |
