The food & wine of Sicily is very famous and worths tasting: the Sicilian citrus (Sicilian lemons, oranges, clementines and mandarins) are probably the most popular in the world, but do not forget to taste Caponata, Sfincione and the famous Sicilian Arancine (fried rice balls, with meat sauce and peas), and Sicilian pastries, prepared - above all - with honey, almonds, sugar, ricotta cheese and fried. whatever!
And do not forget that the oenological history of Siciliy is probably one of the most ancient in the world, since it dates back to the Magna Graecia. There are so many different Sicilian wines you should taste: Marsala, Zibibbo, Primitivo, Passito, Malvasia, Nero d'Avola. it would worth to spend a month there, even just for tasting all those!
