The apartment is beautiful and we loved our time there. We found the apartment quite dark inside and a little cold in September with its stone floors. I would suggest more lighting and more floor rugs for this time of year.
The apartment was perfectly clean and a joy to stay in.
Lovely being so close to Florence and yet have such lovely views. Giuseppe and Simona were the only people we meet really and they were both lovely, especially Simona who wanted to be helpful all the time and her collegue who ran the bar on Sundays.

Torre di San Gimignano is a very special place to stay. Views to die for, breathtaking (both physically and visually - 180 stairs work off all the fantastic food and wine!) An unforgettable experience.
While you're there eat lots of ice-cream (Gelateria di Piazza - best in world!); Drink the local wine!; Try all the restaurants (in particular Ristorante Dorando' - not cheap but 10/10); Buy a leather handbag or two (Le Torri); Music festival week while we were there and evening entertainment with violinists and puppetry was great.
The torre was Inspiring - unique - unforgettable - very special - breathtaking (physically and visually!)
Highly recommend and we want to go back soon!

Capannina is in a fantastic location for touring around Tuscany. The villa is basic but has everything you need including an incredible 16m pool which overlooks the beautiful Tuscan countryside. The villa was great value for money You need to take towels for the pool but apart from that it is very well equipt.
The owner was very helpful, but also gave us our privacy We would definitely go back as it was the perfect place to relax and in such a good position for touring Tuscany. Highly recommended. Karen & Jim, London 2008

A lovely homely feel, with Maria being a great host. The views are fantastic and watching the sunsets over Chianti hills was supurb. A great location for exploring Chianti.

The best holiday of my life! Stunning countryside, amazing towns with beautiful artworks nearby, great pool. Simplicity and a feeling of isolation, with all amenities very close, meant we came back totally relaxed.Absolutely beautiful! Old house, simply and tastefully done up.The location was Totally ideal for us.
Situated in stunningly beautiful Umbrian hills and woodland, we nonetheless managed two trips to the sea (one to the West coast - slightly longer travel - and one to the East coast). Very good shops nearby.The pool was of a fantastic size.
Just right. Large and wonderfully situated.
The area around the apartment was stunning. Cats, chickens, goats, ibis and herons on a nearby pond and two dear came really close one day..
We met the owner (briefly) and she was friendly.
The person she had managing the place, Andrea, was wonderful and friendly.

The villa was top class and the owners were very friendly.The pool was amazing, and even the BBQ was great.The villa was spotless when we arrived and we had clean towels on each bed, then at the end of week one a new batch of towels and sheets arrived it was great.
The area was great and the locals were also very friendly.There are lots of great places to eat and the prices are very cheap but the quality of the food is top class.The villa was even better then the website showed.The kitchen was really big with lots of pot and pans and glasses.Both bathrooms we very clean and had lots of space.
We got lost trying to find the Villa but the owner drove out and met us and showed us the way back.
Each room was great and each bed was very comfortable.
The nicest pool I have ever used, and every night a pool cleaning robot cleans the pool
I liked it so much that I may even go back next year. |
