Abbiamo festeggiato il Capodanno in questa splendida struttura. Posto incantevole, struttura come da descrizione e proprietari gentilissimi. Non potevamo davvero trovare di meglio! In futuro torneremo sicuramente a farvi visita.

We stayed in Chianigiana 5 and were so happy there! It was a relly good base to escape from it all! (We did find the description of how to find the villa difficult to follow though and the sign reads differently than stated.) The views from the villa are stunning.
The gardens surrounding the villas are a treat to explore. The olive groves and vineyards were amazing. We visited out of season so had the whole place to ourselves so it was really peaceful too! Maria went out of her way to make our stay pleasant.
I was disappointed to find that the villa didn't have an oven just a hob and a microwave. I had planned to bake a few 'al forno' pasta dishes, but when I explained this to Maria, she drove from Florence (an hour) to bring me a seperate little oven! This really impressed us and helped to make our cosy dinners at home as special as I had planned.
This is a place we will definately return to. It is a little remote but that's why we liked it. There is a shop nearby but visitors need to have a car to explore the wider Chianti area. It is a short drive to Florence, San Gimignano and Siena so a good base to visit these picturesque places.
Over all a highly recommeded place for a quiet Tuscan break! |

General Property Comments
What a wonderful home you have here. It was a joy to stay. We loved coming back and making dinner and playing cards or just talking about our day. The kitchen table is THE gathering place! Than you for providing such a beautiful place for all paople to come to.
We took many day trips to Lucca, La Spezia, Pisa, Montecatini, Camaiore, Portofino and others despite the rain! Quite beautiful all over warm paople, welcoming people! |

The property far exceeded our expectations. The villa was superbly located with views out over the plains below Cortona. It was spacious and easily accomodated us and our two daughters. It really really did make our stay very memorable and we would not hesitate to recommend it. |

General Property Comments
This property was perfect for us. the owners were so friendly yet gave us our privacy. The villa was clean and had the right amount of space we needed. Our kids enjoyed running around the vineyard and playing with their cats.
I was also very appreciative that the owners allowed my kids to use the pool eventhough it was previously stated that it was to be closed. It was really too cold to swim but that never seems to stop my small kids from wanting to splash around. this allowed my husband and I some relaxation to sit by the pool and chat while they played.
Again--I really appreciated that. |

This is a great villa for a group holiday. The house and grounds are actually better than the photos show. The location is close to Cortona, although too far to walk uphill, but centrally located for short side trips to the hilltop villages throughout this part of Tuscany. The owner is friendly and helpful, suggesting side trips and recommending local wineries and restaurants. Highly recommended. |

The villa overall was unbelievable fantastic
Beautifully decorated with everything we wanted
Super clean
Bedrooms and bathrooms were excellent
The property owner was an absolute delight and had pamplets, maps and information on everything we might like to visit.
He took the four of us for a cappuccino and we enjoyed his company for an hour or so while sitting outside the coffee shop. We cannot speak highly enough of Emilio who treats his guests like royalty.
Because the alto village is small we ran into him a few times while we were staying there.
We would thoroughly recommend both the location and the use of Posarelli villas to everyone. We checked out many many sites searching for a 2 bed/2 bath unit in Tuscany and the Posarelli site was the easiest to access, easiest to understand and as it turned out also represented the property truly.
Payment was also easy.
The location in Certaldo Alto was superb.
Close to many nearby famous villages and easy access to Florence and Siena by train (although we drove to Siena) We caught train to Florence. Station 10 mins from unit.
Certaldo Alto is a magnificent medieval village on top of a hill with a continuous funicular up & down and a larger village (Certaldo Basso) around the base of the hill.
Guests' cars have access to park up the top in the old village.
It was truly one of the best places we have ever stayed in with Emilio such a treasure, the unit was superb and the location unbelievable.

A very quiet place to stay and only a short distance from Montepulciano. We had a little trouble locating the house once we arrived in Ascianello but neighbors were fantastic, very helpful. The villa is spacious for 3 couples and the kitchen was adequately equipped.
We had quite a time with the flys as the windows are not screened and we choose to use natural air conditioning [open windows]. So taking bug spray would have helped. Also, sitting outside there were mosquitoes and we did not have any repellant.
We enjoyed the time we spent there!

October, 2009. We were very satisfied with our stay at Borgo Cappelli 3 over our stay of 5 days. The owner was friendly and helpful. The 2 double bedrooms and bathroom were very nice. The kitchen was adequate although an oven,microwave and small sofa would have been nice.
The location was perfect, right in the heart of the Tuscan villages yet still close enough to the highway. Shopping was a five minute drive away in Poggibonsai-a big PAM supermarket and a n inexpensive Penny Market supermarket as well.
Five minutes north is the very sweet town of Barberoni-good but more expensive COOP store there and lots of charming places to eat. The villa does not supply basic supplies such as sugar,coffee,napking so you'll have to buy these.
Considering that we were traveling on a budget, the price was perfect for us and as I've said, the location was wonderful. Thank you Barbera for a lovely stay.
