Podere i Prati is a stunning vacation house in the Val d’Orcia, where the Tuscan countryside is most peaceful.

The house is part of a country farmstead dating back to the 16th century, which has been carefully renovated. It is nestled among olive groves in the rolling hills of the Val d’Orcia (Orcia Valley), Tuscany.

Podere i Prati’s spacious interiors are equipped with all amenities and tastefully furnished, keeping in line with traditional Tuscany country style.

The house features two floors, 4 bedrooms and numerous common areas to comfortably accommodate up to 8 people. The welcoming, evocative atmosphere offers an authentic Tuscan experience.

Outside on the grounds, there is a well tended garden with a private, fenced-in pool with panoramic views: there are sun loungers and umbrellas for relaxing and cooling off with friends and family.
Guests have at their disposal a scenic terrace with a barbecue, tables and chairs next to the house’s living room and kitchen: here you can enjoy meals outside with splendid vistas of the hills and wide expanse of the Val d'Orcia .

The owners live on a section of the property: they are kind, welcoming, and can offer the best recommendations about what to see and do in the area. Though they live on site, the owners leave total use of the pool, terrace and garden exclusively to Podere i Prati guests.

The house is surrounded by olive groves that are personally cultivated by the owners to produce superb extra virgin olive oil: make sure to taste their excellent oil (subject to availability)!

Podere i Prati is strategically located for a relaxing vacation in the countryside, as well as an excellent base for exploring the central Italy’s art and history treasures, such as the Val d’Orcia; Lake Trasimeno; the villages of Cortona, Pienza, Montepulciano and Montalcino; art cities like Arezzo, Siena and Florence; and the Chianti area. The thermal spas of Chianciano Terme, San Casciano dei Bagni and Bagni di San Filippo are also within easy reach.

Podere i Prati is in the heart of Tuscany, just kilometers away from the region’s most iconic and most photographed spots, such as the cypress trees of San Quirico d'Orcia, the cypress-lined road of Monticchiello, and sites where the film “Gladiator", with Russel Crowe, was filmed.
