Penisola Sorrentina e Amalfi

Every year, millions of tourists crowd the localities forming the famous Amalfi Coastline to admire the wonders of this UNESCO World Heritage Site.

However, a day trip to this place can transform into a frustrating and unpleasant experience if you forget to organize it properly. The very high temperatures, the confusion and the endless queues might ruin a visit to this wonderful tourist destiation!
Here's why we prepared a guide to the best towns to visit during your tour in the Amalfi Coastline to allow you to choose your favorites spending a sensational time here!

Costiera Amalfitana

- Sorrento

Sorrento rises up at the beginning of the Amalfi Coastline and it undoubtedly is the best place to start your tour. As it's comfortable, extremely accessible and near Pompeii and Naples, Sorrento is the ideal base to choose for your visit, although it is huddled all-year. The footsteps left by the various civilizations that dominated this ancient tourist locality mixed to create some stunning ambiances in the middle of some of the best landscapes of the world. This "land of colors" known as the "city of gardens" is a treasure of art and culture to be discovered step by step.

- Sant'Agata and Nerano

Sant’Agata is an adorable town separating two nice gulfs whose panorama includes the majestic figure of Mount Vesuvius. This trait of coastline is absolutely spectacular and breathtaking views combine with some inestimable remains of the Greek civilization. Next to it we have Nerano, a lovely fishermen village located inside the Marine Reserve of Punta Campanella whose crystalline waters and rocky sea bottom attract scuba divers from all Europe. But don't worry: not only nature lovers will enjoy this destination, but also "bon vivants"! Taste the delicious spaghetti with zucchini pesto, Monti Lattari cheese or Sant'Anna tomato in one of the local specialties prepared in this heaven on earth!

Panorama Amalfi

- Positano

In Positano, pastel-colored houses built on top of steep cliffs face the waters of a wonderful sea. This "vertical town" must be explored hiking a staircase after the other, but the panoramic views seen from the highest spot are worth the effort! Many celebrities choose it as their summer holiday destination, as they like the lively nightlife offered by the exclusive seafront clubs, where fun is always guaranteed. But generally, if you love shopping, luxury, sandy beaches, chic and glamour localities, Positano is certainly the perfect destination fro you!

- Conca dei Marini and Praiano
These two towns situated between Amalfi and Positano are considered the most romantic localities of the whole Costiera. Their beaches are fabulous, the views become incredibly beautiful at sunset and the glimpse found along the "Sentiero degli Dei" are something unique. The two small "borghi" near the sea are inhabited by less than a thousand people and their tranquillity will make you enjoy the true Italian "dolce vita" next to your beloved ones!

Amalfi e il mare

- Amalfi and Atrani

Amalfi is the biggest city found in the Costiera and surely one of the best-known alongside Positano. This town is a destination that can adapt to every visitor's need and it can be appreciated by everyone, both those who love luxury and those who look for art and culture. In fact, the past of Amalfi as a Maritime Republic enriched the city of some wonderful buildings dating back to the Middle Ages and to other important monuments. Then we have Atrani, one of the smallest villages of Southern Italy whose beauty is just as great as Amalfi's.
